Mounting, Pads and Covers
Wall brackets and ground stands for the outdoor unit, condenser pads, line-set cover kits and outdoor covers, by load rating and the systems they fit.
The outdoor unit needs a level, solid base that lifts it above snow and drains away from the coil. Wall brackets save space and keep the unit clear of snow; ground stands and pads are simpler to install. Check the load rating against the condenser's weight and the bracket width against its feet.
Line-set covers protect the insulation from sunlight and tidy the run down the wall. Full covers for the outdoor unit are for long off-seasons only: a heat pump that runs in winter must never be covered while it runs.
