Add app control, schedules and room-temperature sensing to a mini-split that only has an IR remote.
Most mini-splits ship with an infrared remote and read temperature at the head, near the ceiling. A smart controller mimics the remote over Wi-Fi, adds schedules and geofencing, and measures temperature where you sit, which often fixes rooms that feel too warm or cold.
Check that the controller supports your brand's remote codes, or that the maker's own Wi-Fi kit fits your model.
